Aurora

Aurora Aksnes is a Norwegian Singer and Songwriter. Her birthplace was in Stavanger on June 15th, 1996 and professionally known as Aurora. The name of her can also be stylized in the form of AURORA. Her debut E.P. Running with the Wolves by Decca Records was released on May 15th of 2015 it received a raving review from both music bloggers and the press. She has previously recorded two high-profile covers Half the World Away by the group Oasis in a commercial for Christmas from John Lewis and Nature Boy by Nat King Cole. Katy Perry shared a tweet in which Perry made a splash with her track Runaway. It was her birthday. Aurora Aksnes first musical memory was when she discovered a keyboard in her loft and being amazed by the music. Jan Oystein Aksnes was her father. He urged her not to play music only for pleasure or to aid in growth but rather, she was encouraged to explore it. She started writing songs of her own. She cites renowned songwriters Leonard Cohen and Bob Dylan as influences as well as an appreciation for the style of Bjork. After her mother said that the songs she composed could be used to not be famous for her, however, but to encourage individuals to recognize the importance of their work and influence in our world at large, she started playing them on stage. The mother of her child suggested that she be able to perform her music publicly in order to help people realize their own importance and how they can affect the world. The family members didn't know about her music until she reached 14. Aurora had no idea of being a famous singer. She just loves to write songs. She believes that music can help anyone feel better.
